Scraps

This post is specifically for my friend Ruth.  Ruth and her family stayed with me for a week just after Christmas .  A gift to me form her, was some lovely African Fabrics, which I am yet to wash and create something with.  She also needed assistance with a skirt that had frayed in areas you would think weren't possible.  There was a large section cut off that was no longer going to be used.  What Ruth didn't know is that I didn't throw this piece out.  I put it to good use.

I have been designing clothes for my Blythe dolls and here are some of the items  I have come up with.  All four outfits are made from the offcut.

The above blondie is a new addition to my family.  She has no particular name, nor did she come with any clothing.  I bought her because she is the one I am going to customise.  Her hair was disgusting.  It had tight curls that were in such a mess and only liked goining in one direction - up!  I brushed it out for purposes of this photograph.  I will show you more of her at a later date.  I am still waiting for all my supplies to come.

On another note, I have taken drastic measures to get the right kind of nutirents into my body.  I have scaled the highest mountains, crossed the greatest rivers.  I sort solitude in the himalaya's and conversed with fairies at the bottom of my garden.  I have now joined the ranks of a juicer!  That is right my meals are now a liquid.

I watched a show on TV that we accidentally recorded (though I believe fate would say it was no accident).  It is call Fat, Sick, and Nearlly Dead.  OMG talk about inspiration to get your butt off the chair.

As some of you know, I had a stomach band put on almost two years ago.  At the time I felt it was the right thing to do, though I was not sure it was really for me.  You see, I don't eat much, just the wrong things, and I replaced meals with iced coffee's.  I have always said that I am more of a drinker than an eater.  The problem with the stomach band is that for me, it worked too well.  It stopped me eating many things I loved to eat but also some vegies and fruit.  I got to the point where I would eat what would go down.  Most of the time this was not the good stuff.  The 15kg I lost initially have gone straight back on.  This show made me realise that I could still have all the goodness I needed in a drink with the added benefit of losing weight.  Oh and don't talk to me about diet shakes --- ick.

Anyway, last Sunday I I started my 10 day juice fast (in the video he does 60).  I am doing 10 day goals at the moment but hope to get to the 60 days.  It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be.  In fact it has been quite easy.  Since last Sunday I have lost 3kg.  I am not doing a full on fast, I will have a glass of full cream milk for my fats and calcium, and if my stomach starts to complain that it is empty I have a few nuts and sometimes a small slice of Brie.  That is all I need to stop the tummy rumbles.  My first 10 days finish on Tuesday but I will continue for another 10 after that.  Below is my first juice and beneath that is what my breakfast and lunch look like.
