I thought it was time for a change. Considering I love vintage images at the moment I thought this was the best option for me right now.

starting again
My diet has taken a bad dive over the winter months. Jacob's ladder became a non event after I was sick for a week and then winter rains fell upon us. Three weeks ago I decided to give Light and Easy a go. Oh my God is the food delicious or is it delicious. About 10 years ago I tried trim Away and even though I stuck to it and managed to lose a lot of weight the frozen meals were not that nice. In fact the potato was always soggy. I then tried Jenny Craig but even then the frozen meals tasted a little like cardboard as well (plus it was expensive and I still had to prepare the veggies - I am lazy). Angie recently started on Light and Easy so I decided to give it a go. You can try it for as long as you like without any contracts. In three weeks I have lost 3.5kg and that is with barely any exercise. The meat is succulent and tender it is just like someone cooked it and didn't freeze it. The lunches are nice as well. You can even choose from a large variety. Don't take my word for it though. Give it a go yourself.
I have even managed to get mum outside the last two nights for a walk thanks to the warmer weather. We drive down to a park nearby and let the dogs run free. Last night Tess was a little excited but tonight she would not stop whining. It was continuous. If she could speak she would have been asking if we were there yet before we even got into the car! Every time we stopped at lights she would get agitated expecting us to get out any minute. Of course on the way home she is nice and quiet.

Road Rage
The other day I was almost a victim of road rage. I thank God that I was on the freeway and the guy didn't get out of his car. The incident happened when the car in front of me stopped suddenly. I had time to stop but it was also a sudden stop. The guy behind me was in a Ute and driving too close. I was sure he was going to hit me but he managed to stop within an inch of my car. He was so mad I could see him swearing at me as I looked in my rear view mirror. The next thing I know he is punching the windshield of his car. Now I have had friends tell me how hard it is to break a windshield but one punch from this guy and a lovely web of glass cracks spread across a good third of his windshield. If he wasn't angry before he sure was now.
I made sure I went behind him after that and I watched as he weaved in and out of traffic in areas that his Ute would barely fit. What a moron.

Tiny Promises
A month or so back now I picked up some little key ring tins with card inside. I knew that one day I would think of something to do with them eventually. My Aunt's birthday is coming up so I decided to make her a little promise box. I applied some of my new found techniques and came up with these gorgeous little images. Each one as a Bible promise on the back. I hope she likes it.
I showed it to my local scrapbook store and the girls there said they would never have the patience to do this. I found it a lot quicker that doing a standard scrap book page as they can take me hours to design. These are quick and easy.
Below are some photo's of some of them. They are almost to size. :)
I am off to get a start on this months dare for Aussie Dares. It is almost as challenging as last months "Glue and Adhesive" one.

ATC
I thought it was about time I got my act together and posted a few more photographs of what I have been up to. Last weekend Jackie and I went to an ATC class (Art Trading Card). We learnt how to use bleach in our work. It was great fun.
First we stamped and embossed an image onto card stock. Then we painted bleach onto the areas of the card stock we would like to colour. Once that was done we painted the image using Twinkling H2Os from Luminart and attached them to our ATC card. After that it was just any final embellishments.
We had three cards to do but one of my stamped designs ended up in my art journal instead. I will post a photo later when it is finished. In the below samples you can see the bleaching in the bug one clearly. I bleached first before I embossed on that one.

Journal Junkies and Aussie Dares
JOURNAL JUNKIES
Sunday (yes I am a bit late putting this in) was the inaugural meeting of the Journal Junkies Club. All of us from the AJs class are coming together every 6 weeks or so to show what we have done, socialise, and share trade secrets. I had a ball. You can find more information on it by visiting Dee's Blog.
AUSSIE DARES
I am not sure if I mentioned that I am now one a many talented people who are on the design team for the Aussie Dares blog (i have it in my list of favourite blogs as "How Dare You"). The Challenge for the month of Sept was Glue and Adhesive. Well I certainly used a lot of glue and adhesive to put together the album for my friends wedding. I bound the album the same way I did my art journal which is different to the one I bound for my father last year. Each photo is raised up on some chipboard but you can't see that with the photograph.

Wedding Photos
I finally got permission to post the wedding photos so here they are. I had a couple of issues with formatting - ok it was a button I forgot to select when downloading the pictures but I couldn't be bothered going back to change it.
